Sometimes being a mother is quite a daunting task. As I contemplate the duty I have to teach my children the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ and how to live it I am particularly scared of the thought of teaching my daughter, and on a bigger scale I think of all 10 of my nieces and the young women I teach at church, that I strive to be a good example to. Satan is working so hard to bring down our Heavenly Fathers daughters in these latter days. It is a constant struggle for women in particular to remember who they are, a daughter of God, and that we need to be who WE are, and not what the magazines, tv screens and movies say we should be. I want my daughter and nieces to know that no matter her size, color of skin, color of hair, amount of make-up, brand of clothing she wears she is precious in my eyes and more importantly precious in the eyes of her Father in Heaven. He loves us the way we are. We are ALL part of a bigger picture, and have so much divine potential. We are His children and He can be our strength.
My precious daughter
My sweet nieces on Jack's side (they have one awesome boy too)
All of my nieces and nephews on the McKaskey side....
I couldn't seem to find any pictures of just my nieces!

The photos in the magazines
Don’t dictate who I’m supposed to be
The world can’t recognize all that I am inside
I know in his eyes, I am a part of the bigger picture
There’s so much more to me
He helps me see that I have so much to offer
I am his daughter
He loves me the way I am
He’s my strength when I stand
He’s my king and my father,
I am his daughter
The people on the tv screen
The leaders, rulers, and queens
I watch them shape the world
And though I’m just a girl
I still know for sure that I am a part of
A bigger picture
There’s so much to me
He helps me see that I have so much to offer
I am his daughter
He loves me the way I am
He’s my strength when I stand
He is my king and my father,
I am his daughter
And when I’m feeling small
And wondering if I’ll ever find courage to stand tall
For his love I remember
There’s so much more to me
He helps me see that I have so much to offer
I am his daughter
He loves me the way I am
He’s my strength when I stand
He’s my king and my father
I am his daughter

Very true, Tiffany. It's great you have such a great view of female's potential and are able to communicate that to the young women in your ward! I also feel like the more I remembered that I have a Mother in Heaven too that I'm seeking to model, the more in touch I am with understanding my divinity and the more able I am to reject hurtful things around me.
That is a great thought Becky, I know we often forget we have a mother in heaven that is routing for us just as much as our Father! Thank you!
